Peter died aged sixteen in February of 1811.

Ralph died aged eight in April of 1804.

William Ravenscroft

William aged twenty-five married Mary Waddilove on the 30th of October 1826 at St Andrew’s, Leyland. The couple had a child named John before they were married. After marriage the couple had two more children, Ann and Ralph. William’s wife Mary died aged thirty-six in March of 1840.

William remarried Elizabeth Addison on the 28th of November 1941.

William continued to work in the cotton industry as a ‘weaver’ and remained in Euxton until his death in 1868, aged seventy.

James Ravenscroft

James married Agnes Hunt aged 21 in Nov 1824. The couple had five children, Richard, Thomas, Ann, William & Joseph. James’s wife Agnes died aged thirty-six in 1837.

James remarried a widow named Ellen Threlfall (nee Hart) in Dec 1844. Ellen passed away aged seventy-two in May of 1858.

James worked in various occupations, such as cotton weaving, agricultural labouring and later in life he worked as a railway labourer.

James passed away aged seventy-nine and was buried at the Parish Church in Euxton.

James’s youngest son Joseph Ravenscroft displayed the same dedication to hard work as his father. He worked as a labourer his whole life, even in to his late 70’s when he worked as a ‘road sweeper’ for Chorley Borough Council.
